Kevin Verpaele was born in Elmhurst, Illinois, but in reality, he has lived his entire life in various parts of Florida. He grew up in Merritt Island, Florida, graduating from Merritt Island High School in 1999. From there he went on to attend the University of South Florida on a football scholarship. At the same time he played, he also was married and raising a child with his wife, and he is so dedicated to family, he would leave practice in uniform to pick up his oldest daughter from day care before it closed, before returning to complete practice, to fulfill his commitment to his coach and his team.
Kevin Verpaele was not just a starting safety for the USF football team. He also served as the team’s captain in his senior year, certainly a great honor. Following college, the family moved into a home in Melbourne, in Brevard County, where he has compiled an impressive record of work experience. He has never rested on his laurels, such is his commitment to family and community.
